Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)

An Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) is a mobile robot that is guided by magnetic tape, a colored line or vision sensors to enable it to move from one location to another within a factory to carry out tasks. These tasks can be things like transporting raw material, carrying specialized trolleys with kitting equipment, and operating as a versatile assembly line instead of a conveyor within a facility.
